It is not worth to do reverse engineering. Better look for standard module. Or try to write polite letter to epson. (only that is not standard LCD, and you connected 2x16 to printer port :).) damn :D, I have no other LCD, they are pretty expencieve here in slovakia ;). the only way is to guess vcc, gnd, & contrast pins, and hook other data lines to microcontroller. then write program, to check all combinations of pinout one by one, and watch for result :D. how come no one has datasheet for this? :( . thanks anyway google couldnt translate your article, so I coludnt read what you say about that LCD.
